Keir Constructions is a local residential home building company which was created and is owned and operated by Brad Keir. We are proud to be a local home grown, stand alone company which is not a division of a larger organisation or franchise.
Brad was born and raised in Townsville, and attended Ignatius Park College and Mt Carmel Boarding School (Charters Towers). After leaving school he completed his carpentry apprenticeship and had a vision of owning his own building company one day. After gaining necessary experience, carpentry skills and knowledge he decided it was time to obtain his builder’s licence. This was achieved by driving to Cairns most weekends over a 12 month period to attend the course.
Keir Constructions build homes for everyone from first, second, third home buyers to investors and top end executive homes. Relatives accommodation, houses, duplexes and townhouses are also part of our repertoire.
We employ 9 full time staff members and in excess of 50 local sub-contractors. Our suppliers and building materials are accessed locally as we believe in supporting other local businesses/families.
The Keir team are always looking to improve and strive to be the market leader in our field. It is humbling to be recognised as not only Townsville’s most awarded builder and named Housing Industry Association’s “North Queensland’s Most Professional Builder” for five years but we are also Townsville's only National Award Winning Builder.
