We wanted to get into our first home for a while but we hadn't come to a final decision on whether to build or purchase an existing home. After stumbling across the Keir constructions website we were very impressed with what we were reading and seeing, so when we went to the Kalynda Chase display home we were surprised to be able to meet the man behind it all Brad Keir. From the first meeting we were very impressed, Brad was sincere and we could see that he genuinely wanted to help us get into our first home.

Coming up to 1 year already at our new home, I thought I would touch base to let you know how fantastic we are going in our new home! 

It all began middle of last year when I started the task of trying to find a suitable builder to build our family home.  This was to be my 7th built dwelling and I had previously had nothing but trouble with builders.  We decided to go with Keir Constructions, they made the experience truly enjoyable.  It was the entire team who were a pleasure to deal with at all times, right from their interior decorator Annette, Gavin the building supervisor, Sharon in admin, Shane from Bill and Bens Cabinet men who provided excellent tips for designing our beautiful kitchen and cabinets and Brad Keir the builder himself!  There was also a high quality of workmanship from the entire trades team involved!

I had already done the draft plan and had shopped around and obtained 10 different quotes, not only were Keir the best priced in terms of value for money, but were the best quality and offered the best service.

We often met during the building process and each time they proudly kept us uptodate on the work just completed, the next stage update and to address any questions we might of had at the time.  They really did give extreme attention to detail!   I asked a million questions and everyone always got back to me quickly and kindly!  Nothing was too much trouble!

It was quick build time too! I really didnt believe a home of our size could be built so quickly but it was, in just under 16 weeks as promised! (and thats with a bit of rain in between).

Even on the day of handover they meet us on site and gave us a gift and took photos and really made the day a special one!

And during cyclone Yasi well that wasnt no concern at all!

For anyone looking at building a new home or investment property, I would highly recommend Keir Constructions!

They made our house a home!

Now we are looking at building another investment property and I will definitely be going with Keir Constructions and not even looking anywhere else!

We can not believe how fortunate we were to walk through the display home at North Shore and have the opportunity to speak directly with you.  This chance meeting resulted in our decisions to utilise Keir constructions to build our house.

From the outset we found you to be honest and up front.  We gave you some very specific instruction and a tight budget that we knew would be difficult to achieve.  The fact that other builders either failed to meet our budget or alternatively our requirements, highlighted the fact that you listened to us and were willing to work hard to satisfy our needs.

Having spoken to several other builders, it was recommended by a friend that we talk to Keir Constructions. We genuinely feel so very lucky that we were able to have Brad and his team build our home.

We spoke directly to Brad right from the start, and he helped us with our own design and was able to look at our budget (not the biggest in history) and straight away tell us what we could expect in our home, which was more than we had imagined. We never really expected to be able to build our dream home on the budget we had, so easily and hassle free.

Dear brilliant builder of mine Brad,

Just thought I would check in and reiterate that the house is looking absolutely amazing.

You mentioned in a previous email that when locked up, you would need to give Wayne and I a set of keys. I imagine that can't be too far away considering what great pace you and your team is making. Wayne and I are a little (correction...ALOT) excited and get out there every few days so as soon as it is locked up, swing me an email and I will drop around for a set of keys so we can keep sticky beaking hehe.

Did you have an idea what the finishing date would be? Doesn't have to be exact, an estimate would suffice. We couldn't remember if you told us a finishing date or not.

Anyway just so you know I have been talking you up all around Townsville and Brad, you have probably noticed, but I talk ALOT. Haha. So don't be suprised if all of Townsville suddenly pays your office a visit, keen for you to build their homes :D

Choosing a builder in today's economic climate is half the challenge of building a house. You have to ask yourself questions like,who can we trust? Who provides a quality product? Who will even finish our hosue? I was chatting to a work colleague prior to making that decision and he spoke highly of his experiences with you, knew we were fuss. He even told us "Brad likes a challenge, he will enjoy building your home".

That is what lead us to your office, armed with a scrap piece of paper with a rough floor design, a heap of magazine clippings, a head full of ideas and a budget. We fully expected that something had to give and we could not be so lucky to get it all however we left your office fairly confident with our ideas, pleased we had found our builder.

From word go, you and your team delivered making us feel we were the most important part of the building process. Last time we built, we were locked out watching progress through windows. This time, we were welcomed, provided with a key so we could watch our home evolves from insdie out, adding to the excitement of daily progress.

We were encouraged to meet all our tradesmen in person, which was very pleasing because we were confident throughout the entire process that our expectation were understood and we were getting what we wanted first time.

Even on the day of hand over, we unexpectedly received a gift from you, as if our house wasn't enough.

When we came to meet you Brad, we had a strict time frame, a vivid picture in our minds and a budget. You smashed the time frame, stayed well within budget and far exceeded our expectations. I would without hesitation recommend you to anyone for a stress and hassle free building experience. If we were willing to leave our new home, we would definitely build with Keir Constructions time and time again. At hand over we said to you that we had had a mental picture of what we had wanted and infact you had built us better, we would change nothing about our new home and love that it is ours.

I just wanted to say thank you for building us a beautiful home, we are thoroughly enjoying every bit of it.

We were referred to you by a friend of ours and we cannot thank him enough. Before seeing you we'd been through a few display homes and had spoken to a couple of other well known builders around Townsville. We were sceptical of building as we'd only heard negative comments about other builders such as "My house took 18 months to build", "We never spoke to the builder only the staff", "Our calls were never returned", "It's not what we wanted but now we're stuck with it" and "I would never build again".

These types of comments had us scared as anything as we'd never built before and it did not sound enjoyable.

However, after the first meeting with you I felt at ease and we made the decision to go ahead with building our new home.

Right from the start everything was easy. I never once felt stressed about building our new home, we enjoyed every minute of it. From working with you designing the house layout to working with the interior designer everything was great.

Annette was wonderful to work with and helped us heaps with making decisions on colours, tiles, carpets & blinds etc (we didn't realise how hard it is to try and ‘imagine' your home with colours). You have always been just a phone call or email away. It's been great having someone so approachable and easy to contact and who has been happy to answer some of the silliest questions.

And to actually speak to the person building our home, not an admin member made things flow without difficulty.

The house flew, within 3.5 months we were looking at our new beautiful home. I must say that it's even better than I could've imagined. We have only received compliments from all of our family and friends and I know for a fact that my mum and aunty will be building their next home with you.

As this is my first home that I have ever owned/build, to say I was extremely nervous is an understatement. I had heard some horror stories of the building trade that made me want to shy away from building.

Making the decision to go and see the house and land package that you had on offer was the best thing I have ever done. My excitement and seeing how lovely the house looked made me feel more comfortable with my decision to build and to use Keir Constructions.

Although price is always a major factor, our decision to build was not based upon price alone. For us, making a decision on price alone never really guaranteed we would make a good choice, in fact, we usually found it quickly became a "bad" choice! We wanted the best "value" for our money and "value" was evident from Day One in our decision to build with Brad Keir of Keir Constructions.

We built with Keir Constructions because we wanted to deal with someone like Brad who owned the business, not a salesman who overpromised and undelivered because they have no control over the building process. From our first meeting with Brad he was so thoroughly genuine and honest.

As the house was being built, our decision to go with Keir Constructions became more and more justified with the ease, efficiency and quality at each stage of the project.

We can only describe Brad's organisational skills as "impeccable"!, and when we were told what was going to happen, it actually happened exactly when we were told it would happen! As we knew what to expect over coming weeks this helped us to make sure we were organised for Brad also.
